A weekend filled with learning the tradition of our ancestors' and introduce you to the modern way to preserve food for your family.
I’m excited to teach you the steps of processing a deer. Some of the topics included in the weekend will be field-dressing basics and breaking the deer into different meat groups. We'll even have a canning demonstration, where you will enjoy canned venison and take-home recipes.
This beginner canning class is perfect for those new to home canning and those who are looking for a refresher course. We will cover safe canning guidelines, and create recipes. You’ll also be learning how to make Apple Butter and Brandied Peach Jam.
During this weekend you will learn how to feed and maintain a sourdough
